Wrap Coats, Pastels and Cut Outs

Spring isn’t here yet and it feels like it will take a while for the weather to warm up in Toronto. The current weather is only a distraction- pastels are in and lavender is my pastel of choice. Despite being in lock down again to help combat Covid, fashion and dressing up helps me to cope with the pandemic even though I’m not going out for anything more than the essentials.

Pastel Tones

Sorbet-inspired colors are the perfect option for spring and summer however I am bold enough to wear them in the winter. I love color so this trend gets my approval. I experimented with another 2021 fashion trend, bubble gum pink, here.

G-String Cut Outs

The cut out trend can be intimidating because it is very sexy-dresses and trousers with built-in G-strings. While I won’t be rocking the trend as boldly as shown on the runways, I love the strategic cut out in this dress. As a plus size woman, I selectively pick trends and leave what doesn’t work on the floor in my bedroom.

70’s Inspired Wrap Coats

I have a fascination with the 70’s and the back story of my blog is a spin on the club Studio 54 . I admire Grace Jones and Diana Ross and they are major style inspirations. This coat screams 70’s. I adore wrap coats because they accentuate my waist. I also play with 70’s inspired fashion here.

I didn’t mention my boots because snake skin is a trend that we have continually seen for several seasons. Would you wear any of these trends-pastel tones, 70’s inspired wrap coats or cut outs?
